A small all-purpose knife with a pointed blade and a black ebony handle. It is handy for small kitchen jobs like cutting onion and garlic, peeling vegetables or slicing fruit, and works as a steak knife at the table too.
Pallares Solsona is a Spanish family business from Solsona in Catalonia that has been making knives for more than a hundred years. It is known for simple, sturdy knives with wooden handles, finished with a lot of handwork.
The dark wood is strong, feels warm and has a rounded shape that sits well in the hand. Wash the knife by hand and dry it straight away, and wood and blade will stay good for years. The blade is stainless steel and is easy to hone with a whetstone or honing steel.
