A kitchen knife with a wide blade and a handle of smooth boxwood, slightly larger than the 11 cm version. The length and width make this knife suitable for bigger cutting jobs, while it stays light and easy to handle.
Pallarès Solsona is a family business in Catalonia that has been making knives since 1917, still largely by hand. Boxwood is hard and fine-textured, with a light colour that slowly darkens and improves with use.
Use it for vegetables, herbs, a piece of meat or slicing bread. The wide blade helps to slide chopped ingredients into the pan. Wash the knife by hand and dry it immediately; the dishwasher is not suitable. A little oil on the wood keeps the handle looking good.
