A sturdy pair of kitchen scissors for trimming chicken skin, jointing poultry, snipping chives over soup or opening a vacuum pack. The 20 cm blades are sharp and powerful, and the handles give a good grip, even with wet hands. It is also handy for cutting kitchen paper, baking paper or the string around a roast.
The scissors are made entirely of stainless steel and feel solid. They do not belong in the dishwasher: rinse them after use and dry them well, and the pivot stays smooth.
Pallarès Solsona has been making knives and scissors in Catalonia since 1917, in a traditional way. Grand Cuisine is their kitchen scissor for everyday use, made to last for years and to be resharpened when needed. Hang it on a hook by the stove so it is always within reach.
