A small kitchen knife with a wide blade and a handle of smoothly sanded boxwood. Thanks to the wider shape you can easily slide chopped vegetables or herbs onto the blade and into the pan.
Pallarès Solsona has been making knives since 1917 in Solsona, a small town in Catalonia. The family business still works largely by hand. Boxwood is a hard, fine-grained wood with a light, warm colour that develops a nice patina over the years.
This size is handy for shallots, garlic, herbs, small vegetables and fruit. It also suits a board of cheese and charcuterie. Wash the knife by hand and dry it immediately, as the dishwasher is not good for the wood. A drop of oil on the handle keeps the wood supple.
