An oval oven dish you can take straight to the table: the Hay Barro Oval Dish in Green was designed by Portuguese designer Rui Pereira. Barro means ‘red clay’ in Portuguese, and with this range Pereira honours the traditions and use of this age-old material. Use the dish in the oven for a gratin, roasted vegetables or a small lasagne, and serve right away.
The dish is made in Portugal from terracotta and finished with a glossy green glaze. According to the specifications it is ovenproof. The green Barro dish also works cold, for a salad, olives or a bowl of fruit.
The deep green looks wonderful with wooden boards, linen napkins and other Barro tableware by HAY, in natural, with colour glaze or with hand-painted stripes. This oval dish comes in two sizes; this is the small one, handy for a side dish or a meal for two. A warm, handcrafted piece for anyone who loves to cook and serve beautifully.
