The largest knife in this range, with that little extra length for slicing and chopping vegetables, herbs and meat. Finely chopping an onion, slicing a courgette or cutting chicken into strips: this knife handles it all with ease. The wide blade also helps to scoop up the cut pieces and carry them to the pan.
The handle is made of olive wood, with a pronounced grain that is different on every knife. The wood sits firmly in the hand and gives the knife a natural, slightly more rugged look. The blade is stainless steel. Wash the knife by hand and dry it straight away to keep the wood looking good.
Pallares Solsona is a family business from the Catalan town of Solsona that has been making knives by hand since 1917. Its knives are simple, honest and made to be used for years. A lovely gift for someone who loves to cook.
