A sturdy mug with a retro look, for coffee at your desk, tea in the garden or as a pen holder next to your laptop. It's light and doesn't break easily, so you can also take it camping, in the camper van or to the workshop, where a porcelain cup wouldn't last long.
The colour is a cheerful yellow with a matt finish and a slight sheen. The handle is big enough for two fingers, and the straight shape makes it easy to stack in the cupboard. On a grey morning the yellow brings instant light to the table.
Penco is the brand of Japanese Hightide for practical items that last, with a nod to old workshops and offices. The mug goes nicely with the trays and storage caddies from the same range. Rinse it by hand and the colour will stay at its best.
