A small tray for a cup of coffee and a biscuit, or to keep keys, pens and small bits together. It is deep dark green, with a raised rim that keeps everything neatly in place.
Japanese company Hightide releases sturdy everyday objects under the name Penco, with the feel of an old-fashioned workshop. This small tray is made of melamine, weighs next to nothing and can take a knock. A wipe with a damp cloth is all it needs to get clean.
On a desk it gathers pens and notepads, in the hallway your wallet and sunglasses, and in the kitchen the oil and spices next to the hob. Place it next to the large tray in the same colour, or pair it with the yellow one for some contrast. The tray is light enough to carry with one hand, and its simple shape suits any kitchen or study.
