The Birthstone coffee cup by HK Living is a dark petrol band with long drips, a narrow pink line and light aqua blue with brown speckles below, like a cut gemstone. This Birthstone cup has no handle, so you hold it with both hands, lovely for an espresso, a cortado, a long morning coffee or a cup of tea. Inside, the cup is a warm, calm and neutral taupe.
The Birthstone Coffee Cup is made of stoneware, robust and compact, with a glaze that develops its own pattern with every firing. That means no Birthstone coffee cup is exactly like another. After your coffee the Birthstone cup simply goes in the dishwasher, and reheating in the microwave is fine too.
The Birthstone cup belongs to the 70s Ceramics collection by HK Living, full of colourful glazes that hark back to the tableware of the seventies. It is lovely to combine the Birthstone coffee cup with the speckled turquoise of Zingy, or the soft lilac tones of Mochi.
