The Fierce coffee cup by HK Living is bright orange at the bottom, with a sandy collar full of dark drips and a thin yellow line in between, like a sunset in clay. This Fierce cup has no handle, so you hold it with both hands, lovely for an espresso, a cortado, a long morning coffee or a cup of tea. Inside, the cup is a calm taupe, so the orange outside steals the show.
The Fierce Coffee Cup is made of stoneware, robust and compact, with a glaze that develops its own pattern with every firing. That means no Fierce coffee cup is exactly like another. After your coffee the Fierce cup simply goes in the dishwasher, and reheating in the microwave is fine too.
The Fierce cup belongs to the 70s Ceramics collection by HK Living, full of colourful glazes that hark back to the tableware of the seventies. It is lovely to combine the Fierce coffee cup with Custard, with the same sandy rim in a softer version, or Layers for a summery table.
Tweede leven
