The Gelato coffee cup by HK Living is mint green, soft pink and deep chocolate brown in layers that flow playfully into each other, like a scoop of summer ice cream. This Gelato cup has no handle, so you hold it with both hands, lovely for an espresso, a cortado, a long morning coffee or a cup of tea. A dark line runs where the colours meet, and every cup turns out slightly differently in the kiln.
The Gelato Coffee Cup is made of stoneware, robust and compact, with a glaze that develops its own pattern with every firing. That means no Gelato coffee cup is exactly like another. After your coffee the Gelato cup simply goes in the dishwasher, and reheating in the microwave is fine too.
The Gelato cup belongs to the 70s Ceramics collection by HK Living, full of colourful glazes that hark back to the tableware of the seventies. It is lovely to combine the Gelato coffee cup with Brew or Truffle, for a warm, colourful coffee table.
Tweede leven
