The Truffle coffee cup by HK Living is olive green at the top, a band of bubbling black-brown glaze in the middle and an off-white base. This Truffle cup has no handle, so you hold it with both hands, lovely for an espresso, a cortado, a long morning coffee or a cup of tea. The inside is glossy olive green too, which gives the cup extra depth.
The Truffle Coffee Cup is made of stoneware, robust and compact, with a glaze that develops its own pattern with every firing. That means no Truffle coffee cup is exactly like another. After your coffee the Truffle cup simply goes in the dishwasher, and reheating in the microwave is fine too.
The Truffle cup belongs to the 70s Ceramics collection by HK Living, full of colourful glazes that hark back to the tableware of the seventies. It is lovely to combine the Truffle coffee cup with Custard and Brew, for an earthy trio in green, yellow and brown.
